For clients who wish to hire a photographer from the UTS PhotoSoc Events Photography Team.

UTS Photography Society provides photography service where we have trained photographers to go out and shoot events. At UTS PhotoSoc, our photographers shoot a range of events including music events, parties, dinners, networking events, conferences and special occasions. We even have our own photo booth studio that can be used at your event!

To book a UTS PhotoSoc photographer, please submit a booking request. Please contact the UTS PhotoSoc Jobs Manager at [email protected] if you have any further questions. We require at least 10 working days notice prior to the event for us to find a photographer. UTS PhotoSoc is not obligated to provide photographers if there are none available.

What we provide

UTS PhotoSoc provides the following photography services:

  • Most UTS Clubs & Societies events
  • Most ActivateUTS events
  • Roaming (Party, birthdays, events)
  • Stage (Bands, musicals, plays)
  • Photo booth (Casual party shots, head shots, corporate shots)

If two or more of the services are occurring at the event, for example, roaming and photo booth, or for large events; multiple photographers will be required.

After you have contacted the Jobs Manager, you will remain in contact with them throughout the time before your event and after your event. Once photographers have been found, an interactive brief will be set-up as a form of communication between the client, the photographer and the Jobs Manager about all the information required about the event.


All photography services that are provided by UTS PhotoSoc must be paid for in full by the client hiring the photographer. We are unable to provide unpaid photography services under any circumstances.

The cost to hire our photographers is $50 plus GST per hour per photographer with a minimum of 2 hours.

An additional one-off fee of $50 plus GST applies if you wish to receive photos without the UTS PhotoSoc watermark.

The fee for expedited delivery with a turnaround time of 24-48 hours, start from $50 plus GST depending on the event.

All jobs must be paid for in full within 14 days of the date of invoice that you will receive after your event. An invoice will be sent to you from UTS PhotoSoc’s Treasurer.

Any external or new clients must settle their account in full before photos will be released.

For clubs and societies affiliated with ActivateUTS

If you do not have the funds to pay UTS PhotoSoc the full rate of hiring a photographer, we ask you to take out a Production Grant from ActivateUTS. They may be able to assist with covering for photography services. Please refer to your ActivateUTS Clubs Handbook or contact your ActivateUTS Clubs Coordinator if you have any questions.

Photo delivery and credit

If you hire photographers from UTS PhotoSoc, you will receive post-processed, high-resolution quality photos with the UTS PhotoSoc watermark and the client’s watermark of choice if required. The photos will be delivered to the client from the Jobs Manager via cloud storage within 5-10 working days after the event unless otherwise stated. As a guide, you may expect 40-60 roaming photos per hour depending on the event. An additional fee may be charged if you required expedited delivery or additional photos.

Credit must be given to the photographer from UTS PhotoSoc.
